Paste a Zotero library URL or fill the library type and numeric ID directly. If you paste a collection URL, only that subtree is imported. API keys are used for the request and are not stored by the app.

Zotero Connector

Sync your miscite library with Zotero using the official connector plugin. Changes in either direction are kept in sync automatically.

The connector creates a dedicated miscite.review folder in your Zotero library and only operates within that folder. Your existing Zotero collections and items outside this folder are never read or modified.

  1. Install Zotero — download the desktop app from zotero.org if you haven't already.
  2. Download the connector — get the latest .xpi file from the releases page.
  3. Install in Zotero — open Zotero, go to Tools → Add-ons, click the gear icon, and choose Install Add-on From File. Select the downloaded .xpi.
  4. Generate an API token — go to Account → API Tokens, click Create token, and copy the token. It is shown only once.
  5. Configure the connector — in Zotero, open Edit → Settings → miscite, enter your server URL and paste the API token.
  6. Sync — items sync automatically when Zotero starts, or use the manual sync button in the miscite preferences pane.
